When sales tax payments from the state arrived last week, La Grange and Schulenburg alone, among Fayette County’s six cities, actually had an uptick from last year.

La Grange Police arrested a local man for theft following a dispute over face masks at a gas station last Tuesday, May 5.

Fayette County is prime monarch butterfly territory. By the end of this year, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) will make a preliminary decision on whether or not monarch butterflies should be placed on the endangered species list.
