Recycle Center
The area recycle centers will reopen on their regular schedule beginning Monday, May 11. The centers are requesting you sort your items prior to visiting and to wear a face mask. For information visit www.fayette.tx.us or call (979) 968-8446.
TCHCC Re-Opens
TCHCC will re-open to the public on Tuesday, May 12 for normal hours. Patrons and visitors are asked to practice social distancing and limit the touching of surfaces while in the buildings.
LG KC Fish Fry
The La Grange Knights of Columbus will host a drive-thru only fish fry including hush puppies, pinto beans and coleslaw on Wednesday, May 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on 190 S. Brown Street. Plates are $10 each. Call to reserve your plates at (979) 968-5117.
AMEN Hours
The AMEN Food Pantry is open every Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. at 805 Mode Lane in La Grange. Anyone in need of food is encouraged to come to the pantry for the drive-thru process of distributing food. You do not need to be a previous client to receive food. The pantry phone number is (979) 968-3943 if there are any questions.
Food Truck: Note New Day
The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the Junction FM-1291 and FM-2145 on Friday, May 15 from 10 to 11 a.m. It will be drive-thru only and no one is to get out of the car. Someone will be there to direct traffic. Clients should make room inside their car trunks. Food boxes will be pre-packaged and placed into each vehicle by volunteers. Please take note this is a new day. In the past it has been on Saturday.
Plant & Caladium Sale
The La Grange Garden Club will hold its annual plant and caladium bulb sale on Friday and Saturday mornings, May 15 and 16 from 9 a.m. until noon. The sale will take place on the lawn and in the back yard of the Faison House located at the corner of South Jefferson and West Live Oak Streets. Featured will be pass-along plants from the gardens of club members, hanging baskets, potted plants, bedding plants/flowers, caladium bulbs, etc. to enhance the summer landscape. Proceeds from the sale will be used by the Garden Club to support the care maintenance of the Historic N. W. Faison Home. For more information, call (979) 968-3829 or (979) 247-3464.
County Cow Calf Clinic Postponed
With the declaration and extension of local disaster related to coronavirus disease (Covid-19) for Fayette County, the Fayette County Cow/Calf Clinic and Trade Show has been postponed. The Fayette County beef committee will expand options to determine a potential date for rescheduling or possibly cancelling the event for 2020.

La Grange Sons Of Hermann
La Grange Sons of Hermann May meeting is cancelled. The lodge will notify everyone when the monthly meetings resume.
Sunday Showcase at Casino Hall
Are you a merchant without a storefront, a home-based retailer, or an artist looking to sell your creations? Beginning in June, space will be available at the Historic Casino Hall in La Grange to showcase your merchandise. For $25, rent this space for a Sunday Showcase and invite clients to shop in person. Historic Casino Hall Opens
The Historic Casino Hall in La Grange is now open to the public. The History Room exhibits are open and guests can pick up free brochures, maps, Texas State Visitors Guides to plan their next adventure. There is plenty of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes available to help keep everyone safe. You can book an appointment on the La Grange Main Street Facebook page or by phone at (979) 968-3017 but walk-ins are always welcome. We will keep to 10 visitors at a time and staff will wear protective face coverings. All of our guests are encouraged to wear masks when they visit and wash their hands when they enter and before leaving. The Historic Casino Hall is located at 254 N. Jefferson Street, La Grange. Current hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hall is planning to be open Saturday, May 23 and May 30 and will be open Sundays beginning in June.
Reunion Re-Scheduled For 2021
Freudenberg-Kirchhoff reunion has been cancelled for June 2020. The reunion has been rescheduled for June 6, 2021.
