American Legion Post 5254 Auxiliary Announces Girls State Participants

The American Legion Auxiliary Texas Bluebonnet Girls State Program has made an informed decision after following the directions from the CDC, Office of Public Health, Department of Education and the Governor’s Office regarding the health and safety of Texas during this Covid-19 emergency. Under these extraordinary circumstances, to protect the delegates and staff, during the week of June 14-20, the ALA Texas Girls Session will be an online virtual formatted learning experience instead of the original live session.

The ALA Girls State is a nonpartisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love of God and Country. Since the inception of this program in 1937, nearly 1 million young women have had the opportunity to learn firsthand how our state and local government works. Participating in this program are the following local delegates and their sponsors:
