New LGISD teacher and professional hires for the new year include: Jennifer Berger - part time 4th grade teacher, Brooke McNaney - transfer from part time elementary school counselor/part time 4th grade teacher to full time counselor.

Joe Bailey Family Marks 50th Anniversary of Ranch Ownership

Over the Christmas Holidays, the Joe Bailey family of East Parker Road celebrated the 50th anniversary of buying their ranch from the Rightmer family.

They hosted all 17 family members at their ranch to celebrate this momentous occasion. They have enjoyed being a part of this small community and have been active in the gatherings of the East Parker Road group.

Superintendent Andy McHazlett reported on district attendance numbers at last week’s LGISD school board meeting: • Overall attendance averages: Elementary 96.38%, Middle 96.27%, High 95.84%, District overall 96.18%. • ADA reported as 1,740.

Carmine Community Blood Drive Set for Jan. 25

The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will have a Blood Drive at Martin Luther Lutheran Church on Sunday, Jan. 25 in the Fellowship Hall from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Appointments can be made by contacting khardin@giveblood.org or by logging into your established Digital Donor account. It is sponsored by Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top and MLLC.
