Jumpy Deer in Nechanitz

Michael and Annabel Houlihan captured this bizarre picture of deer at a feeder at their Sweet Retreat Ranch off Lutherhill Rd. in the Nechanitz area on Oct. 28. Annabel said she thinks the deer must have been startled by something, causing them to jump up momentarily on their hind legs, which was captured by their game camera. She thought the deer looked a lot like kangaroos in the picture and we agree.
