COVID-19, also called coronavirus, is a significant health issue in our country today. Here are some reminders to help contain the spread of the virus and keep everyone safe.

Thank you to everyone who sent me kind comments about me last two columns. However, I’m sure there are some of you who got tired of my rants. This one won’t be political, I promise. (Unless you think taking independent action to sustain yourself and this planet, and perhaps profit from it, is somehow political.)

The Brenham Banner-Press • Burton ISD closed its schools on Nov. 10 after COVID-19 exposures occurred throughout the district.

The US. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has mailed ballots for the Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committee elections to eligible farmers and ranchers across the country. To be counted, ballots must be returned to the local FSA county office or postmarked by December 7.
