The Federal Bureau of Investigation released surveillance photos of the robber from the Hill Bank robbery last week. They are calling him the “Bank Bomb Bandit. The FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force asks the public for help identifying him.

Rosary Rally For Traditional Marriage Held

St. Anne’s Society No. 10, KJZT Fayetteville, coordinated a Public Square Rosary Rally for traditional marriage on March 20. The prayer service was held on the Fayetteville square simultaneously as over 3,000 confirmed groups across America held Rosaries to beg God, Our Lady, and St Joseph, the patron saint of families, to protect and preserve traditional marriage and family in America. Holy Cross Couples Club to Host Mother’s Day BBQ Chicken Sale

The Holy Cross Couples Club will be having their annual BBQ chickens on Mother’s Day May 9 at the Holy Cross Picnic Grounds. Whole chickens are $9 and sauce is $2. Pick-up will be from 10:30 a.m.-noon. You may place your order by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333. There is also a signup sheet on the bulletin in the narthex of the church. Advance orders only. Deadline to order is Monday, May 3.

AMEN Serves Over 600, Needs Empty Egg Cartons

The AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange continued to be busy in the month of March and 252 families were served for a total of 670 individuals. A total of 110 volunteers for 270 hours served the pantry. A total of 2,178 pounds of food were donated.

Building Demolished in Downtown La Grange

John Rogers of Joe Rogers’ Dozer Service operates an excavator that demolished the old Tetco Convenience Store on Jefferson Street in La Grange on Monday, April 5.
