AMEN Serves Over 600, Needs Empty Egg Cartons

The AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange continued to be busy in the month of March and 252 families were served for a total of 670 individuals. A total of 110 volunteers for 270 hours served the pantry. A total of 2,178 pounds of food were donated.

Produce time is arriving soon so remember if you have excess produce, contact AMEN at (979) 968-3943 and leave a message. AMEN will accommodate alternate times for you to deliver the product if necessary. An item that is needed is empty egg cartons. AMEN is fortunate that several producers are providing eggs, however additional cartons are needed. If possible drop off on Monday mornings or place them at the garage door on side of the building in a bag.

As always donations can be dropped off on Monday mornings from 9 a.m. until noon. Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 571 La Grange, Texas 78945.

The mobile pantry in Waldeck served 92 clients for a total of 156 individuals. A total of 14 volunteers served the pantry with 16,995 pounds of food distributed.
