Food Manager Certification Training Course Offered in March

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Fayette County, is offering a 2-day professional food manager certification training course. This program will be offered for $125 on March 30 and 31, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Fayette County Ag Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, Room 104 in La Grange.

VA Clinic Receives Needed Items from VFW Auxiliary

With continued support for Veterans from the community, items purchased for the VA Clinic in La Grange were delivered on Feb. 19 by the VFW Auxiliary 5254 of La Grange, the sponsors of the Veterans Outreach Program. With generous donations from members of the Smith-McMillan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, men’s beanies, blankets, and women’s beanies, gloves, and socks were purchased and donated to the VA Clinic. Shelter Always in Need of Volunteers

The animal shelter is open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday for all normal operations. The shelter is closed to the public with staff onsite for animal care from 8 a.m. 4 p.m. on Monday. Reclaims are allowed on Monday after 10 a.m. by appointment. If you believe your lost pet may be in care, call (979) 966-0021 to confirm and learn requirements for reclaim.
