A free showing of an exciting new movie about caring for our Earth called ‘Kiss The Ground’ will be coming to the La Grange Historic Casino Hall, 254 N. Jefferson St.

A motorcyclist died in a wreck on Interstate 10 at mile marker 666 between Schulenburg and Flatonia Friday night. The crash happened around 9 p.m.

Friday the coronavirus claimed its 71st victim in Fayette County since the start of the pandemic as cases continue to climb. Emil Sodolak, 54, of Round Top, died Friday.

To the Editor: The July 30, 2021 Record had an array of right wing statements that should cause concern for most Americans. For example, on the one hand, County Judge Joe Weber is to be complimented for at least impliedly encouraging the people of Fayette County to immediately consult their family physicians on the need to take the vaccine to protect themselves and others from the far more contagious and deadly Delta mutation of the coronavirus.
