Turtle S’Wing & Shoot Event To Help Support Growing Programming Needs For Turtle Wing Foundation
As Turtle Wing Foundation completes their tenth year “helping children with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential,” they are gearing up for their biggest budget yet in order to help ensure they can provide their much-needed services to children with academic, social-emotional, behavioral or developmental needs.
To reach this goal, the foundation will be holding their Second Annual Turtle S’Wing & Shoot event at the Big Easy Ranch in Columbus on Sept. 20. Big Easy Ranch truly is a sporting club like no other. Proudly setting itself apart from other hunting and sporting clubs, the Big Easy Ranch has a nine-hole, par-three golf course ranging from 65 to 251 yards with dramatic elevation changes and beautiful waterfalls. This isn’t your average par three course!
Whitetail deer and exotics freely roam the property, creating the perfect backdrop for a hill country golf experience. Completing the golf amenities are the driving range, putting green, and short game practice area.
This year Turtle Wing Foundation is adding a clay shoot to this select event. Designed by US Open Sporting Clay Champion Cory Kruse, the state-of-the-art sporting clay course at the Big Easy boasts twelve covered stations designed with water areas, trees and natural hunting settings to simulate a variety of wingshooting targets. This experience will be followed by an incredible cocktail hour and meal accompanied by some fun events including a helicopter ball drop, classic 1972 Bronco Sport raffle (https://turtlewingfoundation.betterworld.org/events/ford-bronco), and live auction.

Their service area includes Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca and surrounding counties. Turtle Wing provided Early Intervention and Supplemental Services to almost 300 children last year with thousands more being impacted by Community Education & Advocacy programming.
