The Multi-County New Landowner Education program is a series of eight informational meetings, seminars, and field days designed to make new landowners in Austin, Colorado, Fayette, and Washington Counties aware of what types of agricultural enterprises are best for their property. Participants in the program will hear from experts in a variety of fields in agriculture about best management practices that can be implemented on their own property.

College Station police say the suspect in a road rage shooting from last month is now in custody. Eduardo Reyes-Ortiz, 24 was arrested on Sunday. According to court documents, Reyes-Ortiz fired a pistol into a car with two people inside on July 14, shooting one person in the arm and the other in the leg. The gunfire also hit the engine and incapacitated the vehicle.

Schulenburg Police investigated two vehicle burglaries that took place near Wolters Park during the Schulenburg Festival last weekend. Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek said the burglaries were reported around 12:10 a.m.

Friday Summer Movie Nights at Henkel Square close out tonight with “Captain Marvel.” Bring your blanket and lawn chairs for this free event. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m.

The Herman and Johanna (Herbrig) (Woythe) Lehmann reunion was held on Sunday Aug. 1 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church Picnic Grounds in Warda. Everyone enjoyed a pot luck meal. JC Kaiser was the oldest male member attending at 88 years old. Wilma Kaiser was the oldest female attending at 89 years old. Lydia Lehmann was the youngest attending at 2 years old. JC and Wilma Kaiser were the longest married couple at 70 years and Steven and Roxanne Davis were the newest married couple at 10 years. Traveling the farthest distance (360 miles) were Steve and Roxanne Davis from Lawton, OK. The Edward Lehmann family had the most family members attending.
