Final Summer Movie Night Friday in Round Top
Friday Summer Movie Nights at Henkel Square close out tonight with “Captain Marvel.” Bring your blanket and lawn chairs for this free event. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m.
Shakespeare at Winedale
Shakespeare at Winedale’s 51st Summer Season runs through this Sunday, Aug. 15. Performances are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.shakespearewinedale.org. The performances featured this year include “Twelfth Night,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “King Richard II.” A full schedule of performances and more information can be found on the website.
Round Top Carmine ISD
Round Top Carmine ISD starts the new school year on Monday, Aug. 23. At the July school board meeting, the RTC ISD Board of Trustees approved the SSO school nutrition option for this school year. This means every student in the RTC ISD district has the opportunity to eat for free. Students will still have the opportunity to purchase a la carte items during the lunch periods. School supply lists are available on the school website, rtcisd.net.
Round Top Family Library

Blood Drive
A blood drive is scheduled for Sunday, August 22 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Appointments are required and can be made by calling (832) 212-2799, or by sending an email to khardin@ giveblood.org.
Lunch Bunch
The Ladies of Lunch Bunch will meet Monday, Aug. 23 at Round Top Christian Fellowship. Please bring your own lunch and drink. A big thanks to the ladies of RT Church Christian Fellowship for making this happen.
Program on the Battleship Texas
The Winedale Lunch & Learn and the Round Top Family Library FYI bring you the next Zoom program: Battleship Texas, Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 12 p.m. Join Kandace Trujillo, VP of Visitation and Special Events for the Battleship Texas, as she discusses the history of the battleship including its naval service, its history as a museum ship, and what the future holds. Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Adult Bible study classes are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Educational Building. Rug Hookers met Monday, Aug 9 and will meet again on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. Sewing Circle meets Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 9 a.m.
This month’s Bible study focused on the theme of Hope. Pastor John David Nedbalek used scenes from a Mash episode, “The Kids,” to show how a hopeless situation turned positive with the birth of a new baby. Hope is the divine presence in our lives; it is everywhere just like the air we breathe. Sedalia Ullrich served as hostesses. The next Bible study for the Ruth Circle will be on Sept. 2 at 9:30 a.m. The church Bible study will be on Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. The ice-cream social for August has been canceled.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Sunday service at 8 a.m. Sunday mornings with fellowship following. Church Council meets Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, Aug. 18 quilting meets at 8:30 a.m., Game Day at 2 p.m., and choir practice at 7 p.m.
City of Refuge Church

Monday Night Social
The Round Top Rifle Hall’s Monday Night Social takes place on the first through fourth Mondays of the month from 5:30 - 8 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall.
