Xmas Craft Show
Thanksgiving Svc.
New Life Methodist Church located at 1215 N. Von Minden will have over 26 booths filled with handcrafted items, quilting, knitting, jewelry, wood crafts, painting, primitive arts and baked goods on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Lunch and desserts will be available.
There will be a Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 4:30 p.m. It will be held on the courthouse lawn. Everyone who attends needs to bring a lawnchair. A collection will be taken that will go to the Good Shepherd Fund. A collection of food for the AMEN Food Pantry will also take place. In case of inclement weather, the service will move to New Life Methodist Church. This service is put on by the La Grange Ministerial Alliance. Jen Kindsvatter of Shared Lutheran Ministries will be providing the homily and other local pastors will help to lead the service. Music will be provided by Amie Finch of Crosspoint Community Church.
Senior Gaming Day
The Round Top Family Library will host a senior citizen gaming party on Sunday, Nov. 24 from 2-4 p.m. Light snacks will be served. This is free and open to the public.
There’s more Second Chance Emporium will observe the following Thanksgiving hours: donations drop-off area will be closed Monday, Nov. 25, through Saturday, Nov. 30 and the sales store will be closed Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30.
CDA Court No. 1962 Meeting
CDA Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange and Plum will be meeting on Monday, Nov. 25 in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Center in La Grange at 6:30 p.m. Donations of assorted small toiletries will be accepted for Seafarers. Members are encouraged to attend and new members are always welcome.

New Life Methodist Church located at 1215 Von Minden St. is hosting the free community Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Call the Church Office at (979) 968-8323 to reserve plates. Carry out or delivery only available.
City of La Grange Holiday Schedule La Grange City offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29 in observance of Thanksgiving. The week of Nov. 25-30 is garbage and recycle week. Waste Management will also have a holiday on Thursday. If you normally get your garbage and recycle picked up on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday. Texas Heroes Museum Hours
The Texas Heroes Museum will be closed Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 1. Please remember to give thanks to our military personnel, especially those who are unable to be with their families this holiday season.
Christmas Craft Market in Ledbetter The Ledbetter Community Center is having a Christmas Craft Market on Sunday, Dec. 1. from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Handmade crafts and goodies made by local artists will be available for purchase. The center is located on Hwy. 290 between Giddings and Carmine at 301 W. Labadie Street.
Six week Discipleship Class A six week Dicipleship Class will begin Tuesday, Dec. 3 a meet and greet will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
