WWII Veteran Still Voting Here at 97

Fayette County Elections Administrator Terri Hefner reports that the last voter on Sunday was 97 year old Abraham Froese of Carmine, a World War II vet.

“Our student election worker, Reagan Moreau, 16, from Fayetteville High School was quite excited to meet a WWII vet,” Hefner said. “As she said, there are so few of them left and she wanted the opportunity to meet him and thank him for his service.”

After the polls closed, Hefner allowed them to visit and take their picture together.

Reagan is the daughter of Craig and Jamie Moreau.
