Woman Arrested on Drug Charges After Welfare Check

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Sunday morning Sept. 21, around 10:51 a.m. Deputies Joe Gonzales and Cody Williams were dispatched to Guettermann Ehler Rd. near FM 609 in the Muldoon area on a welfare concern for a female in a vehicle.

Upon arrival Deputy Cody Williams observed a female passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle that did not return to the address where it was parked. Deputy Williams observed a loaded syringe located in the lap of the female and several clear baggies which allegedly contained cocaine and meth.

Deputy Joe Gonzales also arrived and the female was asked out of the vehicle and she complied. Rachelle Gutierrez, 58 of Smithville was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
