Winedale Quilt Show Continues this Weekend

Winedale’s upcoming quilt show, “Connecting Threads: New Acquisitions in the Winedale Quilt Collection,” continues this weekend, Feb. 25-27. In this exhibition, five new acquisitions engage in conversation with previously acquired pieces from the Winedale Quilt Collection. Round Top Family Library

Round Top Family Library is open Monday through Friday from 1:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Arts After School is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5 p.m. for 4th-6th grades.

The After School Kids Garden Jr. Master Gardener meets Wednesdays from 3:30-5 p.m. for 4th-6th grades.

Chess Club for adults and children ages 7 and up meets on Wednesdays from 3:40-4:45 p.m. This club includes free chess instruction.

Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m.

An iPhone class will be held Feb. 28 from 2-4 p.m. This is a basic class for iPhone beginners.

Hermann Sons Life

Hermann Sons Life will not hold a meeting in March due to the antique show.

Monday Night Social

The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Social takes place the first through fourth Monday of each month. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.

Annual Fish Fry

The annual fish fry will be Friday, March 4. All-you-caneat fish with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. Eat-in or take-out from 5:30-8 p.m. Tickets available at Round Top Mercantile, Round Top State Bank, and the remaining tickets will be available at the door. Get yours early.

James Dick Concert

A live performance by James Dick, Founder and Artistic Director of Round Top Festival Institute will be Saturday, March 12. Adult tickets are $40, students are $10. Tickets are held at will call on the west side of the concert hall. Doors open one hour prior to the concert at 2 p.m.

Spring Break

Round Top-Carmine ISD students Spring Break is right around the corner! Students and teachers will be out the week of March 14-18. For more information about the school, you may contact the Elementary campus at (979) 249-3200, or the High School campus at (979) 966-6118.

Annual Plant and Gift Sale

The Herb Society of America will be holding their 27th Annual Plant and Gift Sale on Friday and Saturday, March 18-19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday will feature a series of talks by wellknown plant experts. Registration for this day is $45. The sale will take place at Festival Hill.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton’s monthly service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 1 at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. View the bulletin online at stjohnfayetteville.com for more information.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Confirmation class is held Wednesdays at 4:15 p.m. Rug Hookers will meet Saturday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. Ash Wednesday service will be held March 2 at 5:30 p.m. The following weeks the service will alternate between Bethlehem Lutheran and St. Paul Lutheran in Shelby. March 9 service will consist of a 6 p.m. meal followed by a 7 p.m. service. March 16 will be a 6 p.m. meal and a 7 p.m. service at BLC.

St. Paul Lutheran Church

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Game day is the first and third Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. Ash Wednesday service will be March 2 at 7 p.m.

St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church

St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square. Music is provided by Joey McGee. St. Cecilia’s Soulful Celebration of the Creative Arts begins Ash Wednesday, March 2, at 5:45 p.m. at Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square. The Axiom Quartet will perform Beethovan’s Heiliger Dankgesang - Song of Thanksgiving to the Diety. On Saturday, March 5, at 5:45 p.m. there will be a Lenten concert with Organ and Cello featuring Dr. Linda Patterson and Patrick Moore. For more information, visit www. StCecilias.org.

City of Refuge Church
