Weyand Promoted to Partner at Law Firm
Adams and Reese LLP is proud to announce Collin Weyand has been promoted to a partner at their firm.
Established in 1951, Adams and Reese is a multidisciplinary law firm with nearly 300 attorneys and advisors in 18 offices across 17 markets throughout the southern United States and Washington, DC.
Weyand, a member of the firm’s Construction Practice Group in the Houston office, specializes in insurance coverage litigation, construction litigation, and oil and gas litigation. His legal expertise includes taking numerous depositions, drafting dispositive motions and other critical legal documents for various proceedings. He also has obtained significant courtroom experience, participating in numerous injunction and trial proceedings. Since joining Adams and Reese as a law clerk in 2018, Weyand has built a robust litigation career.
Collin’s journey to this achievement is marked by academic and professional excellence. He earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in 2017, where he graduated seventh in his class, was a finalist in multiple Moot Court competitions, and received six CALI Awards for receiving the highest grade in a class. He served in various leadership roles, including Senior Articles Editor of the South Texas Law Review and Editor-in-Chief of the Adelphia Law Journal.
Before law school, Weyand completed his undergraduate studies at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he was a Student Government Senator, a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, and active in the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He graduated from SFA in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Collin’s college journey began at Trinity Valley Community College, where he played varsity basketball for two seasons and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Weyand graduated from TVCC in 2012 with an Associates of Arts in Kinesiology.
Collin was a 2010 graduate from La Grange High School and currently resides in Baytown with his wife Marikate and son Peter. He is the son of David and Sandra Weyand, and grandson of Doris and the late Lambert Lidiak of La Grange, and April and Harley Weyand of New Braunfels. He credits his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all of his success.
