“The Original Round Top Western Vintage Renegades Fashion Show “ scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, during the Fall Round TopAntique Show at Market Hill will prove to be another successful fundraiser for Round Top Festival Institute.

Dirty Bohemian hosts its Fall 2024 Western Vintage Fashion Show at the Market Hill location. Guests can indulge in freshly prepared light bites and craft cocktails along with live music by legendary Dale Watson at the ticketed event benefitting Festival Hill’s Gardens and Grounds. General admission is $75. Check out the Instagram link @dirtybohemian for tickets and more information.

With over 30 albums and singles, Dale Watson is an award-winning country musician and producer who has been creating music and performing live for over 40 years. He has shared the stage with such icons as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson, just to name a few. He has been seen on David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Austin City Limits, but most of the time, he is touring the world including Fayette County, keeping the country music roots sound alive.

Beth Weishuhn, owner of Dirty Bohemian and The Crown Bar in La Grange, will gather pieces from her favorite Western vintage clothing dealers from Warrenton and Round Top for the show.

The last event, which was hurriedly relocated due to inclement weather with the help of Market Hill, still had over 100 people in attendance. Proceeds from this Fall’s event will again be used to help Festival Hill improve their already amazing gardens and landscaping.

This is the fourth donation made by Beth and friends to help the needs of maintaining a 180 acre campus at Festival Hill. A percentage of the ticket sales from the past fashion shows were used to purchase a much needed state-of -theart lawnmower, pole saw and portable sprayer amongst other needed tools.

“We deeply appreciate the local commitment from Beth Weishuhn, Andy Johnson and their associates at The Crown Bar and Dirty Bohemian to contribute to our continued year round service towards the promotion of the arts and education in Fayette County,” stated James Dick, Founder of the Round Top Festival Institute.

A large group of volunteers have been meeting on scheduled Saturday mornings on the grounds of the Institute where coffee and goodies are provided before work is begun.

The planning committee led by community volunteer Jamie Lee Manning, Cisco Village “Special Projects” manager Paloma Pinedo, Festival Hill Horticulturalist Julia Johnson and staff member Pat Johnson have been organizing and making plans for the Gardens and Grounds Service Day.

The volunteer garden crew is led by Julia Johnson. Everyone is schooled on poison ivy and what good plants to leave and what to remove such as rag weed and non-native ligustrum. Crews are split into three groups with instruction for tool use, tree trimming and trail building.

The committee is planning another service day on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9:30 a.m. and is looking for strong hands and backs for more trail clearing and preparing gardens for the fall.
