Weishuhn Running for LG Council

My name is Kathy Weishuhn. I am the incumbent candidate for La Grange City Council Ward 1. I recently retired from state employment with Child Protective Services. Prior to that, I was a Fayette County Deputy for several years, and had a total of 24 years employment with Fayette County. I am a graduate of La Grange High School, and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

I have served on multiple City Council committees to handle specific issues. I am currently chair of the La Grange Main Street Board. I also serve on the Board of the Children’s Advocacy Center serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties. I volunteer at many community events. I have lived in La Grange for over 40 years, and plan to remain here.

I am familiar with the issues in our city as well as the services we provide and our accomplishments. I am excited to be able to continue working for my community to make it the best possible place to be. I feel that my experience, knowledge and community involvement put me in a position to provide the best representation for La Grange.
