A Vote for Harris and Democrat Lawmakers Is A Vote For Your Family

Before casting your vote in this Presidential election, consider the repeated refusals by Republican lawmakers at every level of government that obstruct the efforts by Democratic lawmakers to improve the quality of life for all Americans, except for the corporate and wealthy elite whose money GOP lawmakers rely upon to retain power: 1. Refusal to employ the IRS agents needed to ensure that the corporate and wealthy elite pay their fair share of taxes under current law to reduce the federal debt and decrease interest rates while supporting Trump’s plan to give even more needless tax cuts for big corporations and the super-rich that control them that never trickle down and are used instead to buyback shares that increases corporate wealth without the taxation that would funding needed public investments.

2. Refusal to adequately fund public education and teacher salaries (Texas being among the worst) with the resulting lack of education making it easier for the rich and corporate elite to brainwash voters into voting against their own economic self-interest and health.

3. Refusal to support living wages for all and equal pay for equal work for women.

4. Refusal to protect the air we breathe and the water we drink and the very life of our planet due to ever increasing man-made carbon emissions causing recent record hurricanes created now in a matter of days in our own Gulf Coast waters costing billions of dollars in loss of property and small business and thousands of livelihoods and hundreds of lives at places never before experiencing such 1,000 and 2,000 year events of hurricanes, flooding, and tornadoes.

5. Refusal to support universal health care to save Americans thousands of dollars each year even after the payroll taxes to fund it and with far better health care outcomes and far lower cost of prescription drugs (even refusing middle income families the subsidy or credit needed to pay for Affordable Health Care insurance premiums and refusing to pass volume prescription drug purchasing power for Medicare for all prescription drugs).

6. Refusal to pass ability to pay income tax rates on upper incomes of all levels and kinds and refusal to give needed tax relief to working families and small business owners who sacrificially pay regressive taxes of all kinds from earned income needed to support their families and pay workers a fair wage.

7. Refusal to increase taxpayer investment when times are bad and refusal to increase taxes on upper incomes needed to pay for such spending when times are good and needed to fund the public investments in technology and public infrastructure and education essential to our country’s ability to compete with and defend against the Red Chinese.

8. Refusal to break up monopolistic corporate oligarchies that are often too big to fail that are the major source through their decades of price gouging and short supplying of family cost of living and small business operating expenses that make 8% inflation pale in comparison. Such monopolistic corporate oligarchies include Big Oil, Big Health Insurance, Big Banks, and Big Agri-Business (e.g. buying beef from ranchers and then turning around and selling it to grocery stores at multiples of the price paid those hard working and risk taking ranchers).

9. Refusal to invest in a good job paying, health and planet saving independent green energy for genuine economic, military, environmental, and national security. Refusal to fund that long overdue transition by refusing to stop the huge annual burden taxpayers bear every year to provide international oil companies with free security for in the Middle East and refusal to return to the banning of the export of our country’s record domestic oil production that would drive down gas prices at the pump to record lows.

10. Refusal to fund the home health care that the elderly and their families deserve and need and refusal to stop the price gouging and greedy liquidation of rural hospitals by private equity firms headed by CEOs that Trump’s henchman, J.D. Vance, would be proud of.

11. Refusal to pass the increased tax credit needed by entrepreneurs to start a small business that would increase competition and lower consumer prices. 12. Refusal to provide the low interest down payment loans that young people need to buy a home and start a family.

Remember that a vote for Trump and extreme right wing MAGA lawmakers will ensure that man-made climate emissions will only increase making the ever increasing record breaking weather extremes of flooding, drought, heat, freeze, storm surges, and tornadoes more frequent and dangerous and costly. Remember that a vote for Trump and his right wing cohort will recklessly raise high tariffs of kinds that will especially harm farmers and ranchers and consumers. Remember that Trump’s further deep tax cuts for the rich and corporate elite including the 3 times as many billionaires who are funding Trump’s campaign will increase the federal debt at least 3 times more than the spending for working families and small business owners and young homeowners and the elderly proposed by Kamala Harris.

Remember that the spending proposed by Kamala Harris will grow the economy for the benefit of all Americans and not just the very rich. Remember that Kamala Harris with her record as a prosecutor and Attorney General is far more likely to break up the monopolistic corporate cartels and the billionaires who own them and control our economy for their benefit and not the benefit of most Americans, because Kamala Harris has a proven record of fighting the Big Banks to pay for their greed and exploitation of ordinary American homeowners.

So, if you truly value the future health and prosperity of all Americans, do not be distracted by the right wing propaganda of cultural issues that should be the sole and personal responsibility of individuals and families and churches and not the government. Instead, vote for Kamala Harris and Democrat lawmakers up and down the ballot who will not divide the country but who will raise up the standard of living and health and protect the rights of all Americans, especially working families, small business owners, the elderly, and women.
