Virtual Author Visit at LGISD

Last Wednesday, March 2, author Ryan T. Higgins conducted a virtual author visit with LGISD second grade students in the Performing Arts Center.

Higgins, an author and illustrator of over 17 children’s books, was broadcast live on the big screen at the center. Higgins discussed his books and read aloud from his new book “Norman Didn’t Do It!” Higgins also demonstrated how he draws his beloved character Penelope the Dinosaur who is the main character in his book, “We Will Rock Our Classmates.”

Each second grader received a copy of this book. After his talk, several students came up to the podium to ask Higgins questions.

The virtual visit was coordinated by LGISD Elementary Librarian Amy McCord.
