Valentine’s Concert Benefits Bybee Library
The Round Top Festival Institute Bybee Library Fundraiser and Valentine’s Concert is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12. This live one-hour benefit, “Love Songs Galore!” will feature Will Lynde on piano, joined by friends J. Gary Smith and Justin Fox on the Festival Concert Hall stage. Concert pianist and Institute Founder, James Dick, will also make an appearance. The afternoon will close with a drawing for a door prize. Adult tickets are $30 and student tickets are $10. Small School, Big Hearts
The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation presents their annual Small School, Big Hearts fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Happy Hour begins at 4 p.m., dinner is served from 5-6 p.m. Following dinner will be an auction, fun and dancing. Dinner tickets are $12 and include chicken, sausage and sides. Plates are available both dinein or drive-thru. Dinner tickets will be available in the school offices, local banks, Round Top Mercantile, and the RTC Education Foundation website. Monday Night Social
The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Social takes place the first through fourth Monday of each month. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA. A Valentine’s Dance with Mollie B and Squeezebox will be Monday, Feb. 14 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. This event will feature both Mollie B and Ted Lange, and will consist of a dinner and a dance. Round Top Family Library
Round Top Family Library is open Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Arts After School is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for 4th-6th grades.
The After School Kids Garden Jr. Master Gardener meets Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for 4th-6th grades.
Chess Club for adults and children ages 7 and up meets on Wednesdays from 3:40 to 4:45 p.m. This club includes free chess instruction.
Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m.
A Healthy Cooking Class will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Main Annex. Nancy Addison, CHC, AADP, will present a hands-on experience with gluten free recipes. Class size is limited.
The Senior Citizen Gaming Party is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 13 from 2 - 4 p.m. Come for an enjoyable afternoon, win a prize and enjoy refreshments. This event is being held in partnership with the RT-C 4H Club. An iPhone class will be held Feb. 28 from 2-4 p.m. This is a basic class for iPhone beginners.

The Round Top Area Historical Society Museum would like to invite you to learn the rich colorful history of Round Top, Texas. The museum is located at 397 E. Mill St. in Round Top, behind the Round Top Post Office. Hermann Sons Life Meets
Hermann Sons Life regular meeting came to order Jan. 27. Lila Garlin called the regular business meeting to order at the Amercian Legion Hall in Round Top at 6:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Get well wishes were sent to Dwight Nittsche, Gladys Roemer and Orville Glaesmann. Linda Mattocks agent’s report mentioned that annuities were still paying at 2.3% with a low of 1.5% and a 20 year maturity. She mentioned new young agents being hired. This month’s new members were La Verne Albers and Watson James Mattocks. Linda has sent scholarship applications to the seniors.
Melanie Rauch, community coordinator, sent Christmas cards to all shut-ins and members not in attendance at the Christmas party. Feb. 5 was noted as the Round Top Carmine Education Foundation fundraiser. A donation will be sent and all members are encouraged to attend.
Happy birthday wishes were extended to Barton Garlin. Attendance prizes were won by Betty Porter, La Verne Albers, Bob Porter, Jeanette Schoenst and Lila Garlin. The next meeting will be Feb. 24. There will be no meeting in March due to the antique show. The meeting was adjourned, followed by a delicious dinner, refreshments and fellowship.
