Upcoming Election Dates and Information

The Republican and Democratic primary runoff elections take place Tuesday, May 24.

State election law requires those who voted in the Republican or Democratic primaries on March 1 to stick with the same party in the runoff election. If you did not vote in the March 1 primary, you may vote in either runoff election.

A person who becomes eligible to vote between the March 1 primary and the May 24 runoff, such as someone who turned 18 during that time, may vote in either runoff.

Early voting for the runoff has been tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20. Early voting takes place at the Fayette County Elections Office inside the Meadows Building at 275 Ellinger Rd. in La Grange.

Municipal and school board elections will take place on May 7. A constitutional amendment election will also take place that day. Early voting for those elections will take place Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29, plus the following Monday and Tuesday, May 2 and 3.
