Unanimous Tax Vote in Carmine

The City of Carmine held an election to reauthorize a 0.25 percent sales tax dedicated to street maintenance and repair. It passed by a vote of 12-0.

• In the Flatonia ISD school board election, incumbent LaVerne Dornak defeated challenger Cassandra Suhr in the race for Place 5. The vote was 98-57. The Place 4 incumbent, Ashley Beeman, was also up for election this year but she was unopposed.
