Ulrich Running for LGISD School Board

Dr. Travis Ulrich

Committed to excellence is what La Grange stands for. I, Dr. Travis Ulrich, Pharm.D., am eager to announce my candidacy for LGISD Board Of Trustees, Place 2.

Some may know me as your H-E-B Pharmacist where I served my community for the last eight years. Currently I am the H-E-B Regional Director of Pharmacy for Central Texas (Austin) Area. While I am not behind the counter at the store, I am still invested in serving our community.

My wife Robyn and I are both proud alumni of LGISD and we are proud parents of little Leopards, Everett (8) 2nd grade, Kyle Rose (6) Kindergarten, Walker (5) and Truitt (3). Being a good role model to my children is important and supporting education is key to success. We instill in our children the value of education, kindness and volunteering. If we want a better future for our youth, it all starts with their educational foundation.

When looking back on my childhood and education at LGISD, I remember the teachers I had, the lessons I learned and the friends that turned into family. My valuable upbringing and traditions from La Grange ISD are what I want for my children. I want them to grow in a community where your neighbor matters, where the teachers and coaches thought of us as family and not a number.

The way to lead greatness is to expect it.

The world is ever changing and evolving and while we would love to see life go back to “how it used to be” we have to grow with the changes, while letting our children stay children. The task won’t be easy but it will be worth it. We have to stay one step ahead of our youth to help lead them in the life that is meant for them. While we hold on to our traditions we have to be open to new ideas. Support not only for our students but our faculty, we are a team. It is important that when our youth leave our school system they have the support and education they need to make the world a better place.

I’d like to gain your support and vote on May 7, so that I can be a part of our student’s success.

In lieu of putting out signs, I have decided to donate those funds to the school.
