TxDOT Gives Update on SH 159 Closures

Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) provided an update on the SH 159 road closures between La Grange and the Rutersville area.

Please note that some of these times and locations have changed since the first release. These times and locations may change due to weather or other circumstances.

So far, TxDOT has completed the first construction milestone.That section of the highway is located about 0.34 miles west of Forest Hills East Rd. It had been closed closed from June 3-8.

Listed below are the ongoing and planned closures for the upcoming weeks:

• SH 159 Road Closure (Milestone 2) – Monday, June 10 to Thursday, June 13, located 0.75 miles west of Forest Hills East Rd.

• SH 159 Road Closure (Milestone 3) – Monday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 19, located 0.1 miles east of High Hill Creek Rd.

• SH 159 Road Closure (Milestone 4) – Monday, June 24 to Friday, June 28, located 0.9 miles west of FM 2981.

• SH 159 Road Closure (Milestone 5) – Monday, July 1 to Saturday, July 6, located on the west side of Forest Hills East Rd.

• SH 159 Road Closure (Milestone 6) – Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, located 0.2 miles east of SH 71 Bypass.
