Truck Fire In The Flatonia Area Results in Total Loss

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Wednesday, April 30, at around 4:45 p.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a truck fire on St. Hwy. 95 north past Burke Rd. in the Flatonia area.

The Flatonia fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Deputy James Ulbig. Upon arrival on the property a 2000 Dodge Blue pickup truck was located. It was engulfed in flames.

The Flatonia Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire and the owner advised he saw flames coming from under the hood when he called 911.

The truck was a total loss and there were no reported injuries.
