Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on June 1, Deputy Seth Nagel Conducted a traffic stop which lead to the arrest of a male suspect for several criminal offenses.

Nagel conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a vehicle for a traffic violation in the La Grange area. Investigation during the traffic stop, lead to a probable cause search of the vehicle, due to the odor of marijuana being detected.

A search of the vehicle lead to the discovery of marijuana, THC infused gummies, and a handgun.

Arrested and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice center and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawfully carrying a weapon was 24-yearold Kelton Mangrum of Katy.
