Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Tuesday morning around 9 a.m. the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting property damage at a residence on St. Hwy 159 at Rek Hill Rd. in the Fayetteville area.

Deputy Wesley Arrison responded to the residence and met with the complainant who advised an 18-wheeler traveling west bound on St. Hwy 159 lost its rear dually tire assembly. The dually tire assembly went through a corner fence on St. Hwy 159 and through the complainant’s yard fence, striking his porch and house causing significant damage.

The 18-wheeler gravel truck was empty and heading to get a load when Deputy Arrison located the 18-wheeler on Baca Rd. off St. Hwy 71 without the rear tire assembly. Paul’s towing also responded to the scene to recover the tire assembly. There were no reported injuries.
