The 17th annual Schmeckenfest again brought huge crowds to downtown La Grange for the annual holiday festival.

La Grange Main Street manager Caleb Parks estimated between 1,800 and 2,000 folks attended the event, which celebrates holiday drink, food and fun.

There were 29 wassail booths and the winners are shown to the right.

A parade started the fest including a pair of fire trucks that brought Santa and Mrs. Claus and mayor Jan Dockery into town. Dockery officially lit the downtown Christmas tree. Kids games filled the courthouse lawn and attendees sampled all the holiday fare until 8 p.m.
