That’s a Wrap on Year 102 – Join Us to Kick Off Year 103

This issue of The Fayette County Record officially puts a punctuation mark on our 102nd year of continuous publication. We’re really proud of that legacy, and we’d like to celebrate with you as we start our 103rd year with Friday’s edition. That day, Friday Nov. 1, we’re hosting a party here at the newspaper office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that will include: • Free food and beverages from several local award-winning businesses.

• Elaine Thomas’s book release party for her “Stories I’ve Been Told Vol. 4.” She and several of the local stars of the book will be here to visit.

• From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. that day Ralph Fisher (who is on the cover of Elaine’s new book) will be here with a pair of his iconic longhorns to visit with folks and let them take pictures with steers.
