Texas Women’s League Holds 19th Annual Gala

The Texas Women’s League hosted our 19th annual Spring Gala on Saturday, March 5, 2022 to raise money for local charities in our community. Every dollar raised is donated directly to local 501c3 organizations that have been in operation for one or more years. This year, 29 charities in Fayette County applied for funding.

Since 2004, the Texas Women’s League has funded over $1.4 million to local charities. This was made possible with the support of sponsors, donors, members, and gala attendees.

This year’s gala sponsors included Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation, Mark A. Chapman Foundation, Lazy Q Ranch, Municipal Energy Resources Corporation, McCourt Equipment, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Re-ichert, Denise Winter, HEB, Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, Fayette Savings Bank, Columbus Eye Associates, Drs. Keilers and Keilers, MS Society, Schovajsa Mayer & Klesel, and Round Top Publications/Paper City Magazine.

In addition to these spon-sors, The Texas Women’s League appreciates all who contributed at the gala via the online silent auction, the live auction or by donating their time to help make the gala a success.

This years TWL officers and board of directors are: Tiffany Reid, Jennifer Meaders, Robbie Lynn Zoch, Ashley Abbey, Camille Ball, Ashley Bishop, Mindy Davis, April Krhovjak, Melanie Lira, Rhonda Moore, Debby Schovajsa, and Lyndsey Vasek.

The charity funding event will be held at 6 p.m. on May 11 at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center.
