Teen Arrested After Disturbance At the Fayette County Courthouse

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that Wednesday morning, back up was requested at Fayette County District Court due to a disturbance in the courtroom. Fayette County Deputies, La Grange PD, and Texas DPS arrived on scene to assist. The disturbance was disbanded without major incident.

Court continued as scheduled.

After the disturbance in the courtroom, a 15-year-old juvenile was taken before County Judge Joe Weber and was sent to Victoria County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge for Interfering with a Public Servant. This juvenile was currently on probation in Fayette County on a separate charge.
