Taxable Property Value Grows By 13% Here Over the Last Year
Taxable property values in Fayette County grew by 13.25 percent over the last year.
The Fayette County Appraisal District released the certified roll of property values for the entire County on July 24. The County government, along with school districts, city governments and other taxing entities, use this number to project property tax revenue in the coming year.
All of these entities are currently developing their budgets for next year.
Last year, the Fayette County Appraisal District certified the value of all property in Fayette County at $4,985,082,567. This year’s certified roll is $5,645,686,784, an increase of more than $660 million, or about 13.25 percent.
Fiveyearsago,in2019,that number was $3,320,501,220. Ten years ago, in 2014, it was $2,669,092,526, less than half of what it is today.
