Annaston Kutac was presented a certificate for winning second place in the Father’s Day Beef Essay Contest held by the Navidad Valley CattleWomen’s Association. She read her essay entitled “I Love My Dad” to her dad, Aaron Kutac, and surprised him with the winning $50 beef certificate. Each year, the Navidad Valley CattleWomen’s Association invites sixth graders from Fayette, Lavaca, and Colorado counties to enter an essay contest honoring their fathers/father figures for Father’s Day. Awards were presented to members of the Reading Millionaire’s Club on Tuesday May 20, at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School Academic Banquet.

These students have gone above and beyond their regular class work and extracurricular activities to accomplish the phenomenal achievement of reading over one million words this school year through the Accelerated Reader (AR) program.

Top Student Awards in subject areas were presented at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School Annual Awards Banquet.
