St. John-Ellinger Hosting Roast Beef Dinner

Tickets are being sold for the roast beef dinner at St. John in Ellinger. The drive through will be on Sunday, Oct. 12 beginning at 11 a.m. Plates are $15 and advance tickets are encouraged. For tickets see Lucille at Koehl’s or call her at (979) 966-7710, Sharon at (979) 966-3515 or any church member. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Texas flood victims.

Food Truck 

The Capital Area Food Bank truck will be in Waldeck on Saturday. Sept. 20 beginning at 10 am.

Communion Class 

There will be a communion class in Rutersville at St. John from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21. This is for all children in Shared Lutheran Ministry who are in the second grade or older and are ready to learn about holy communion.

Ellinger Chamber 

Bingo will be held at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall, 104 West Colorado Sky in Ellinger. Doors open at 4 p.m., kitchen at 5 p.m. and games start at 6 p.m. Hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, desserts and refreshments will be available. The next bingo will be October 25 with a Halloween costume contest.

Shared Lutheran Ministry 

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church 

St. Mary’s Catholic Church mass is every Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook Birthdays
