St. Anne’s Society Met in November

The meeting of the KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Nov. 19 at St. John’s Education Building. President Mary Jane Toddy opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were six members and one guest present.

Rose Rohde read the minutes from the previous meeting, Helen Wied reported cards sent and Lois Kaspar gave the Treasurer’s report.

In new business, donations were discussed and voted on. St. Anne’s will donate $50 to the Giddings State School, $50 to Fayetteville School Care Closet, and donate to the CDA raffle and Alter Society fundraiser in 2025. A mass was donated in memory of Father Steven’s mother Alice Saucer. Mary JaneToddy and Lois Kaspar will attend the annual KJZT convention in La Grange, alternates for the convention are Rose Rohde and Helen Wied. Members will host bingo at TLC nursing home in Columbus once a date is given by the facility. The election of officers was held with the same officers agreeing to serve: Mary Jane Toddy, President; Helen Wied, Vice-President, Rose Rohde, Secretary, and Lois Kaspar, Treasurer.

Attendance prize winner was Lois Kaspar and the next meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.

After the closing prayer, the meeting was adjourned, lunch and social followed.
