Smidovecs Celebrate 46 Years of Marriage

Bo and Linda Smidovec celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on July 12. Bo and Linda Jackson married on July 12, 1980. The couple celebrated with family this past weekend.

City of Ellinger 

The City of Ellinger will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 at city hall.

Shared Lutheran Ministry 

The annual Dinner and Dancing under the Stars event will be held on Saturday, July 18 at the Rutersville Hermann Sons Lodge. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. for a free will fried chicken and sausage meal. Dine in is preferred. At 6 p.m., music will be by The Back Porch Boys. There will also be a live and silent auction. Bring your own beverages and lawn chairs. All proceeds benefit Lutherhill and this event is hosted by SLM and St. Paul Lutheran in La Grange.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church 

St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mass is Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
