SLM Hosting Valentine Dinner in Rutersville

There will be a Valentine Dinner on Friday, Feb. 14 at St. John in Rutersville starting at 6 p.m. The meal will be at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $25 per person, free will donation for child. Meal consists of grilled pork chop, grilled chicken breast, mushroom gravy, broccoli salad, scalloped potatoes, red cabbage and homemade apple pie, tea, coffee and complimentary wine and beer. The proceeds will support the La Grange High School band trip to Carnegie Hall in New York City. Text Weldon or Lee Ann at (979) 966-3449 or (979) 9668330. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The Shared Lutheran Ministry council recently met via Zoom. One important agenda item was the discussion of hiring a part time Ministry Coordinator. Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.
Hermann Sons
Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will have a meeting on Monday, Feb. 17 at the Ellinger Fire Station at 6 p.m.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Mary’s Catholic Church mass is every Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m.
Brethren Church
Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in the dining hall. All chamber and community members are invited to attend.
Ellinger Sewer and Water Ellinger Sewer and Water will meet on Monday, Feb. 10 at the fire station at 6 p.m.
LGISD
There will be no classes on Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
