Sheriff Keith Korenek Reports on April Activity

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of April 2025.

Deputy Mark Pritchard responded to a welfare check on Marty Road. The elderly subject was located deceased inside the residence. There was no indication of foul play. The death is believed to be of natural causes.

Deputy Wesly Arrison responded to a burglary on Airport Road. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Deputy Arrison also took a report of property damage at the Frisch Auf! golf course. The suspect was identified and is working with law enforcement and the golf course to pay for any damages.

Deputy Jose Mosqueda responded to property damage on North Kirtley Road, a report was taken. Deputy Jason Fowler was dispatched to a residence in West Point for a gun-shot victim. The wound was self-inflicted, and the subject was transported to an Austin hospital.

Sergeant Meagher took a report of credit/debit card abuse. The suspect was identified. Deputy Wesly Arrison assisted with the case. Deputy James Ulbig recovered a stolen bulldozer off of State Highway 71 near La Grange.

Deputy Chris Stansberry responded to an inquest on FM 2503 in Fayetteville. Deputy Stansberry also responded to a disturbance on Rocky Acres Road in La Grange. The as-suspect was arrested for assault family violence. Deputy Herman Olvera took a report of deadly conduct in the Muldoon area. Deputy Olvera also recovered a firearm that was possibly used in an aggravated robbery in Corpus Christi.

Deputy Cody Williams responded to property damage on North Kirtley Road. A report was completed. Deputy Williams also assisted the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit that ended with the suspect in custody.

Sergeant Ron Naumann assisted the Texas Department of Public Safety with the recovery of a stolen U-Haul trailer. Sgt. Naumann also took a report of reckless damage on State Highway 159.

Jail Administrator Holly Smith reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked in 49 individuals for the month of April. Smith reports that the Jail Staff transported 1 individual to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to begin serving their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
