Shelter Offers Microchip Special

The Fayette County stray animal over population crisis is a community problem that requires a community solution. Spay and neuter is the only solution.

As of Feb. 7, the total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter for 2025 is 167: 72 dogs and 95 cats in need. As of Feb. 7 there are 70 animals in care: 48 dogs/22 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner. Every day fosters and volunteers help save lives.
