Shared Lutheran Ministry to Mark 25th Anniversary Feb. 1

St. John Lutheran, part of Shared Lutheran Ministry, will celebrate 25 years of formation with the three other churches on Sunday, Feb. 1.

The day will hold many activities including worship at 10 a.m. The fried chicken lunch will start at 11:30 a.m. for dine in or drive through. Tickets can be purchased from Sharon Fritsch at (979) 9663515, Orsaks or the church office in Warrenton.

The celebration will be at the SPJST Hall in Fayetteville. Pastor Jen Kindsvatter serves as Lead Pastor. All are welcome.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon.

Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mass is held every Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Ellinger VFD 

The department met on Wednesday, Jan. 7. The following were elected as officers: Chief-Martin Spoelstra, Assistant Chief-Brandon Karisch, President-Dave Weishuhn, Vice President-Ben Gerik, Treasurer-Ronald Polasek and Secretary-Michelle Kubena. Larry Bartosh stepped down as chief after many years of serving.

Anniversary Celebrated 

Larry and Carolyn Bartosh recently celebrated their 53 wedding anniversary with their daughter Carissa Karisch and husband Brandon and grandkids Rilan and Rheagan. Lunch at Murphy’s Steakhouse was the venue for the special occasion. They were married Jan. 6, 1973 at St. Paul Lutheran in Columbus, Texas with the reception at the Ellinger C of C Hall.
