Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Reports July Arrests, Incidents
Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of July.
Sergeant Ron Naumann assisted in an investigation to identify an inmate. The male was identified and transferred to the appropriate agency.
Deputy Josh Jones conducted a traffic stop near La Grange. A male was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful carry of a weapon. Deputy Jones also made a traffic stop near the Sheriff’s Office. The male driver was wanted and was arrested on his warrant.
Deputy Terry Guentert responded to the Engle area in reference to a welfare check. The male advised that he was okay and did not want to harm himself but was extremely intoxicated. The male was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation.
Deputy Cody Williams took a wanted subject into custody on a warrant for Assault Family Violence.
Sergeant Duane Meagher responded to a vehicle fire on FM 1579 near Schulenburg, a report was completed. Sgt. Meagher also responded to a suspicious vehicle call on FM1457 near Round Top. A male subject was experiencing medical issues and was voluntarily transported to a local hospital.
Deputy Jason Fowler responded to Munke Road in reference to shots fired. A male subject was struck but was stabilized and transported by Fayette County EMS. Deputy Fowler also responded to a multivehicle accident on I-10. The vehicles were fully engulfed, and the fires were put out by the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department.
Deputy Jose Mosqueda responded to a residence on Mullins Prairie Loop in reference to an inquest.
Deputy Wesly Arrison responded to a vehicle fire on FM-155. A report was taken. Deputy Arrison also responded to an inquest on Konetzke Lane. A report has been completed.
Deputy AB Marroquin responded to an accident on State Highway 71 where a driver was located with narcotics and a firearm and was arrested along with a passenger who had an active warrant. Deputy Marroquin also took a scam report.
Deputy Ty Roggenkamp met with a victim of harassment at the Sheriff’s Office. Later, the suspect arrived to speak with Deputy Roggenkamp. A bystander kept inserting themselves into the situation and was interfering. The suspect was arrested for harassment, and the bystander was arrested for interference with public duties. Deputy Roggenkamp also responded to a disturbance on State Highway 71. A female was arrested after she assaulted a male subject in the vehicle.
Jail Administrator Brad Neville reports that Fayette County Correction Officers booked 51 individuals for the month of July. Neville reports that the Jail Staff transported 7 individuals to Texas Department of Criminal Justice Facilities throughout the State to serve their sentences for crimes committed in Fayette County.
