Seniors To Watch FCCT Comedy in October
Starting in October, business representatives will join us on a recurring schedule to call our bingo games on Mondays, just like we do on Wednesdays. We are so grateful to all our bingo callers who make our game memorable. Many of our members have also raised their hands to help with this.
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, you can find us in Weimar at the First United Methodist Church. Charmaine Katz with Habitat for Humanity in Colorado County will be the day’s Lunch and Learn speaker. She will discuss a program that provides home repairs and modifications to low-income senior citizens at no cost to the homeowner. Learn what the requirements are to take advantage of this generous opportunity.
Keisha Hodge with Columbus Oaks Nursing Home in Columbus will be coming to make our bingo game memorable in Schulenburg on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Connie Koopman Catering will provide hamburger steak, gravy, and onions. Our volunteers will fix the potatoes and salad. Two of our members will bring the dessert for the day. Fayette Savings will drop by for bingo on the first Wednesday of every month.
Artful Friday has Sue Pape, a local artist, teaching acrylic painting from 10 a.m.noon.

On Nov. 20, we will celebrate Thanksgiving at the KC Hall in Schulenburg from 9 a.m. 1 p.m. The children from St. Rose School will entertain us at 11 a.m. before our meal, and we will play one hour of bingo following the meal. We will have the same hours for Christmas at the K.C. Hall on Dec. 18. After our meal, Dave Hollas will entertain us with music from his regular and holiday song list.
Our big fundraiser is set for the New Year’s Eve Heritage Ball on Dec. 31 at Freyburg Hall. It kicks off at 7 p.m., and we will begin with the signature cocktail hour, hors d’oeuvres, a whiskey wall, a live auction, and a fabulous dinner.
