Thanks to The Fayette County Community Theater, the play Four Old Broads is at the historic Casino Hall in La-Grange. The sold-out matinee performance on Sunday, Oct. 27, has 20 plus Senior Connections members attending. We conclude our fun afternoon with a savory meal from Reba’s Pizza.

On Monday, Oct. 28, join us for coffee, conversation, and games in Schulenberg. Drop in anytime from 9 11:15 a.m. Charlotte Tillota with the Columbus Historic Preservation organization will be the lunch and learn speaker. They will talk about many of the buildings in Columbus but will focus on their Christmas Museum. Lindsey Gutierrez with Schulenburg Regency Home Health will join following the program for bingo.

There is no programming on Tuesday, so catch us back in Schulenburg on Wednesday.

Claire Lewis will be the guest artist instructor for the art program, Artful Fridays, for November. She comes from Columbus to share her love of slow-stitching embroidery.

Many students will be working on embellishing ecoprinted fabric squares to make a beautiful quilt for an auction item for our New Year’s Eve Ball. If you would like to take part in this project, please come.

Classes are held Friday mornings from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Arts For Rural Texas on LyonsAve. in Schulenburg. The other classroom always offers something fun. A light lunch is provided following our meal.

Thanks to the support from our community, Senior Connections will continue to provide meaningful programming for the seniors at our Schulenburg, Flatonia, and Weimar Locations. Senior Connections is a gathering place for active seniors 55 plus. Our mission is simple: to enhance the quality of life for the members we serve. Weekly programs address the unique challenges seniors in our community face by promoting healthy aging through social interaction, mental stimulation, and nutritious meals.
