Second Chance Donates to Local Organizations

Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $5,000 to Career Tracks. Monies granted will be used to cover the cost of the presenters for a Community Preparedness class to be held at the Round Top Public Library in Spring 2025. The class will include training in the following areas: CPR, Stop the Bleed, and Security and Decision-Making in Stressful Situations. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $10,000 to Carmine Hall (Cedar Creek Schuetzen Verein). Monies granted will be used to rebuild the lower section of the Carmine Hall, which will include upgrades to be ADA-compliant. The Carmine Hall provides a place for arts and musical performances, local non-profit groups to meet and hold events, and local schools to hold events and programs throughout the year. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $7,500 to the Faison Preservation Society. Monies granted will be used to fund the Faison House wallpaper restoration project. The mission of the organization is to maintain and preserve the Historic Nathaniel W. Faison House for future generations. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $2,000 to the La Grange Roadrunners Square Dance Club. Monies granted will be used to offset the cost of obtaining square dance callers each week and at official dances. The mission of the organization is to keep the square dancing tradition alive for generations to come, provide a healthy and fun activity for those who participate and to provide for social interaction of individuals in the community.
