Second Chance Donates to Local Non-Profit Organizations
Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $5,975.40 to the Schulenburg Lions Club. Monies granted will be used to purchase a mobile vision screener, carrying case, printer and labels. The Schulenburg Lions Club will partner with local schools to do vision testing and help those in need get eyeglasses. The motto of Lions Club International is “We Serve” which reflects the organization’s commitment to providing service to their communities and the world. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $2,500 to the Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum. Monies granted will be used to fund the construction and installation of an outdoor sign for the museum. The organization’s mission is to provide a facility for preserving, promoting and educating polka music and dance. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $11,000 to St. Rose of Lima School Cafeteria. Monies granted will be used to purchase two convection ovens for the school cafeteria. The cafeteria provides nutritious meals to students attending St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Schulenburg. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $10,000 to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry. Monies granted will be used to build a concrete ramp on the west side of the Pantry leading out to the parking lot. This ramp will be used to bring food donations in and out of the building. The mission of the organization is to provide supplementary food, grocery and household products to qualifying families in the Schulenburg area.
