    Schulenburg Police Respond to Assault May 14

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of May 11-17.

Assault

On May 14, Officer Jeffrey Whited was dispatched to the 1000 block of Hillje to meet with a complainant regarding an assault.

Agency Assist

On May 13, Whited was dispatched to the Hitching Post in the 14 block of N. Kessler to assist with a male subject needing a ride to Houston.

On May 14, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 600 block of W. I-10 for a pursuit of a vehicle.

On May 16, Whited was dispatched to the 1100 block of Bohlmann to check for a cat in a tree, at the playground in Wolters Park. Officer saw cat high in the tree but could not reach by climbing. Dispatch had animal control and a boom lift to respond.

Animal Complaint

On May 13, Animal Control Officer Gina Harden responded to the 700 block of Baumgarten for a total of 12 kittens trapped. She dropped off four kittens at Dr. Sladek’s office for the TNR program and took the remaining 8 to the animal shelter.

Ambulance Call

On May 11, Officer Reyden Svatek was dispatched to the 200 block of E. Anderson and advised of an open 911 line with someone saying help. Individual had fallen out of a truck and broke their leg. Upon arrival the subject was laying on the ground at the truck in pain. Ambulance made the scene.

Criminal Trespass

On May 15, Vincent spoke with complainant at the police station regarding a criminal trespass concern.

On May 15, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to Dollar General in reference to issuing a criminal trespass.

Civil Matter

On May 17, Sgt. Tobey McFadden was dispatched to the 300 block of South Street regarding a civil matter.

Disorderly Conduct

On May 15, Officer M.D. Krenek was advised of a student being non-compliant and refusing to leave a classroom. Officer spoke to the student and student left on his own.

On May 16, Krenek was dispatched to the 300 block of Bucek for an unruly individual.

Reckless Driver

On May 14, Svatek responded to the 2000 block of US Highway 90 for a reckless driver.

Suspicious Person

On May 13, Whited was dispatched to the school campus for a suspicious person. Officer located a individual who advised they were looking for their cat.

Terroristic Threat

On May 15, Krenek was advised by the school Principal that a student made a statement to other students about blowing up schools. Officer called the county attorney and was advised the threat was not immediate and should be handled by the school. Nothing further.

Traffic Stop

On May 14, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for vehicle driving without lights when required. Citation issued for no driver’s license.

On May 14, Vincent stopped a driver in the 300 block of Kessler for a defective taillight. A warning was issued.

On May 14, Vincent stopped a driver in the 500 block of College for disregarding a stop sign, warning was issued.

On May 14, Svatek stopped a driver in the 400 block of Summit for expired registration (5-20). A citation was issued.

On May 15, Svatek stopped a driver in the 300 block of Kessler for a defective tail lamp. A citation was issued for failure to maintain financial responsibility.

On May 15, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for expired registration. A citation was issued.

On May 16, Krenek stopped a driver in the 500 block of Lyons for speeding in a school zone. Driver was issued a citation.

On May 16, Krenek stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation.

On May 16, Krenek stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of N. Main for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation.

911 Hang Up

On May 16, McFadden was dispatched to the 40 block of N. Kessler for 911 hang-up.
