Schulenburg Police Report: July 5-11

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 5-11.

Animal Complaint

On July 5, Officer Hailee Ellis was dispatched to the 1500 block of S. Kessler for a report of a horse on the roadway. Officer contacted the owner who advised he would put the horse up.

On July 7, Animal Control Officer Gina Harden received a call of a kitten being dropped off at a home in the 1000 block of Kallus. It was a 12-week-old gray tabby.

Citizen Assist

On July 11, Officer Juan Castilleja observed a vehicle parked in the 600 block of James Avenue with hazard lights on. The driver had run out of gas, drivers’ brother was getting a gas can for her.

Upon family arrival the officer cleared call.

Criminal Mischief

On July 7, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 100 block of Paulus for criminal mischief.

Disturbance

On July 11, Castilleja was dispatched to the 1200 block of Wolters Road in reference to a disturbance.

Harassment

On July 5, Ellis responded

to the 500 block of West Avenue for harassment.

Reckless Damage

On July 11, Castilleja was dispatched to the 1000 block of James Avenue in reference to a vehicle possibly hitting something in front of the residence.

Traffic Stop

On July 5, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver in the 400 block of US Highway 90 for speeding going 56 in a 45, driver received a warning.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 400 block of Hwy. 90 for speeding going 55 in a 45. Driver received a warning.

On July 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 400 block of Highway 90 for an expired registration (2-26). Driver received a warning.

On July 9, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 90 in a 75. Driver received a citation.
